Viennese gourmet culture meets roof-top flair in the heart of Vienna Mariahilf!

BRANDAUER IM GERNGROSS is located on the inner Mariahilfer Straße. On more than 500 m² we run our beer restaurant on the 5th floor in the department store GERNGROSS. The top floor is also accessible after the opening hours of the stores with a separate elevator at the main entrance directly on Mariahilfer Straße and thus can be visited until late in the evening.

The restaurant presents itself friendly and inviting to guests as soon as they enter the floor. The capacity of 250 indoor and 150 outdoor seats predestines this restaurant for event gastronomic highlights. Ideal for celebrations with friends and family.

The establishment consists of the cozy restaurant, the bar, the balcony terrace facing Kirchengasse and the roof terrace with a spectacular view. Next to the elevator is a small store located where BRANDAUER merchandising products & specialties can be purchased. Brandauer Gerngross is perfect place to rest and refresh after a long day of shopping or just enjoy the view from the roof top terrace.

The trend towards beer variety has increased significantly in recent years. With the private brewery Zwettl, we have a top partner who enables us to offer our guests a very large selection of beers.

The bar as an event and communication area as well as the terrace are considered “the meeting point” in an urban environment with a spectacular view. We have added trendy cocktail drinks and expanded wine and spirits menu to our existing concept. Homemade lemonades, naturally cloudy fruit juices and health-conscious fruit juices round out the extensive beverage program.

We stand out from the classic beer pubs with our excellent cuisine. Our kitchen relies on the best quality from Austria and regional products. High-quality meat from Austrian farmers is used for our dishes. The menu offers traditional Austrian cuisine and Viennese classics, as well as modern mediterranean, light and exotic dishes. A daily changing menu adds variety and the popular BRANDAUER lunch buffet is offered on weekdays from Monday to Saturday.
